We are constantly looking to feel something, good or bad; but just feel something. The most common case is to feel something for another person; after all, we are designed to look for that... wait, are we? Seems we spend so much of our lives feeling, understanding feelings, creating feelings, and making others feel.
So how can we classify feelings? How can we determine if a feeling that makes us happy is “good” and a feeling that makes us sad is “bad”? Which feelings nourish or destroy us?
Which are the feelings that we are supposed to welcome in our hearts or even better, express?
As good example, the old saying: ” Love hurts” .. so if it hurts, why do we keep perusing it? Does love belong on the “bad” list since it hurts?
Feelings define who we are, how we express them and how we use them, pretty much describe us better than any horoscope or fashion statement.
What are nourishing feelings then? … are only “good” feelings nourishing? I guess everyone would have a different answer to that question (if any) but mine is simply .. NO!
Sometimes “bad” feelings nourish us, perhaps jealousy brings desire, vulnerability that turns into humbleness … humbleness that exposes our most pure feelings.
Hearth brake reveals our capacity to love, the immensity of our hearts …. Sadness always brings great appreciation for happiness
So welcome every feeling into your life .. feel it all .. otherwise is not worth living!
