As expected I woke up at 5:45 this morning and could not stop watching the Royal Wedding until it was just enough time for me to make it to work ..
The bride was absolutely stunning, elegant, feminine and her dress was very appropriate for such ceremony; BUT I was truly hoping for something perhaps more memorable and sophisticated. I can’t help to think of Grace Kelly’s dress when I saw it .. and I always thought I would see a Catherine’s dress instead.
Absolutely love the lace and the fact that she did her own make-up, which kept her beauty to its best (lately, I’ve been seeing a lot of brides who don’t even look like themselves and I find that quite disappointing for such a memorable and eternal moment of their life)
Here is the sermon that touched my heart and pretty much summarizes this historic moment ..
“Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.” So said St Catherine of Siena whose festival day it is today. Marriage is intended to be a way in which man and woman help each other to become what God meant each one to be, their deepest and truest selves…
